TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Several Early Childhood Education courses obtained at York University, in Toronto, Canada

MY TEACHING STYLE

I really enjoy the conversation-style teaching. It allows for new information to be introduced, and incorporating an "open" conversation between student and teacher. It also allows students to theorize ideas, and ask the necessary questions to find their own conclusions. As a result, it also sharpens their critical thinking skills.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

BA Honours, History from York University in Toronto, Canada. Canadian, American History Major; English Literature Minor

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I wanted to teach from an early age, and took all the necessary steps towards Teachers College, however, due to the economy, I was not able to attend Teacher's College. Now, I have always believed that there are naturally great teachers out there - those that know how to convey information to their students in a way they all can comprehend. I also believe that I am one of those individuals. Between coaching soccer in my youth, to managing training sessions at my job; to leading tutorials at University, I have always enjoyed teaching people new things. Now, I have the opportunity to home school my 9 year old step-son. When it's meant to be, it's meant to be.
