TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 10 years, and love to create my own curriculum. I taught 1st grade my first year, then made the jump to 5th. I have taught 4th and 5th primarily. I recently moved to 3rd grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a very organized teacher. I love technology and use it frequently in my classroom. I am also at an Arts Magnet, IB PYP school, so I frequently incorporate the arts and utilize the IB curriculum into many projects and lessons I design.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I presented on integrating common core into your ELA program at my district's Buy Back training. I have also been selected to be an early implementer for NGSS at my district. I am also apart of the San Diego Math Network. I was also nominated as technology teacher of the year in my district. Finally, I present workshops for parents at my school about how they can stay engaged in their child's education.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I went to UCSD for my BA. I went to SDSU for my multiple subject credential. I also completed my masters in Curriculum and Instruction at CSU Fullerton.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have a 6 year old, and a wonderful family. I also love to workout, craft, and read.

Teachers Pay Teachers is an online marketplace where teachers buy and sell original educational materials.
