TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I recently retired from the Irvine Unified School District where I taught for over 36 years. I loved the creative aspect of teaching and making learning fun. During my years in Irvine, I taught at several schools, helping to open many new schools and developing a camaraderie with staff members. I also spent many years as a mentor for the school district, working with new teachers, developing curriculum tied to state standards, and providing inservice training to school district educators. I miss the students, staff, and parents. I love volunteering in several classrooms each month. I don't think I will ever stop working with children and getting my "kid fix!"

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love the creative outlet that teaching provides. I enjoy working with colleagues to make learning fun as well as successful for my students.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

While teaching at the finest school district in our state, I was honored by being named IUSD's Elementary Teacher of the Year.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Fresno State University with a major in Geography and obtained my teaching credential for grades K-8. I earned a Masters in curriculum and instruction from USIU.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I recently retired but regularly volunteer in many classrooms. I use many of my TPT products with the students to make sure they are quality ideas that are easy to use, successful in conveying the objective, and fun for students.
