TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught at the secondary level for 11 years. I also co-teach for special services science (CWC). I have taught physical science, biology, zoology, botany, and forensics during my teaching career. I also help with science club and prepare students for science competitions.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like structure in my classroom. Procedures are a huge deal, and we spend time going over what is expected and how to conduct ourselves in the classroom. I like organization, I tend to over plan for instances that could occur. However, key to teaching is building relationships with children. The more you care and take interest in them the more they are willing to give back to you.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I've been teacher of the month. I won teacher of the year.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I got my degree in Biology with an emphasis in secondary education.
