I have been teaching English to nonnative speakers for over 12 years. I have experience teaching English overseas, to university students in China. I have ten years of experience teaching at an intensive English program and recently starting teaching ESOL at the high school level. I've been creating and refining my plans and materials throughout my career.
I strive to create materials that are student-centered, communicative, and collaborative. My activities are meant to encourage students to discover the English Language through exploration and interaction with their peers.
I've presented multiple times at Carolina TESOL conferences.
I attended Marietta College, where I minored in Leadership and double majored in English and Psychology. I continued my education at IUPUI, where I received a Master's degree in English, with a concentration in TESOL.
I am a resident of Greensboro, North Carolina.
