I was a Girl Scout leader for 5 years spanning Daisies through Juniors. As a young girl I was a Junior in grades 4th-6th. In 2014, I was elected as a National Delegate from my council to GSUSA. I attended the 2014 GSUSA Annual Conference in Utah. Email me: firstname.lastname@example.org.
I run my troop much like a teacher does a classroom. I believe in this style so I hold troop meetings at the elementary school where the girls attend. I impart on the girls and parents that Girl Scouts is not just an extra-curricular activity but a leadership experience. My expectation is that Girl Scouts be given the same priority as sports, music and other interests. I uphold the traditions of Girl Scouts past and present and adhere to the ceremonies for milestone events.

I have an Associate of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from Long Beach City College and a Bachelor of Science in Managerial and Agricultural Economics from University of California, Davis.
Growing up in a very dysfunctional family, I was able to overcome many obstacles through my participation in Girl Scouts and church youth groups. Girl Scouts gave me confidence to pursue my goals, the independence to improve my situation and become the first generation in my family to graduate college. I'm a divorced mom to 3 kids, two sons and a daughter. I currently work full-time at an agriculture education center where I manage social media marketing and contracts.
