As an educator, I live by the principles concepts that in order to learn and grow, one must develop the necessary skills for life-long learning. I strive to model my philosophies in the classroom as well as with the online format. The hope is to have a spontaneous directive toward specific goals. The primary objectives for student is to acclimate them with the fundamentals of the subject material, real world examples, and a collaborative forum for discussing options to deal with critical learning issues.
My milestones are: I was awarded instructor of year for 002 and 2003 by the Tennessee Association of Independent Colleges (TAIC). I have been fortunate to have received the Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award two year running, one from Nashville College of Medical Career and another from National College of Business and Technical.
Credentials I hold a BBA in Health Administration, I have a MBA in Accounting through Davenport University in Michigan, and I am currently working on my PhD in Applied Management Diverse Science in Accounting online with Walden University.
Ms. Whittaker - BIO Hello, Everyone! I have been living in Nashville Tennessee since October 1999. I love it here, but I still miss my morning walks on Belle Isle Park in Detroit, Michigan. We have a beautiful park here named Shelby Bottom, which is a large nature preserve, great for bird watching, rollerblading, and trail dirt-bike riding. I have three great cats named (Mr. Cashmere, Ms. Christina and Mr. Spanky). They have been with me for years, and they keep me from being lonely. I love to teach, power-walk, read, watch videos and work on my computer. All in all life has been great. I can't complain! I hope everyone is doing great... :-) I love the online format, and I am very excited to get started! It is going to be a real pleasure working with all of you! So let’s get started! Thanks, Ms.W.
