I have been teaching for about 10 years and have taught 9th-12th grade students and university courses at the graduate level. I have taught beginner to advanced students, Advanced Placement Literature and Composition, Advanced Placement Language and Composition, Theory of Knowledge, IB Language and IB Literature. I am currently assistant principal of curriculum and the department head of English at the high school that I teach at now. I have created a high school curriculum that has received a funding grant from the municipal government of Shanghai that can be viewed at www.ideal.education
I primarily lecture to my students, but I do like to occasionally throw in an activity to mix things up. I tend toward the academic and encourage students (even in high school) to explore university-level material.
