TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I graduated college in May 2015 and was lucky enough to get my first teaching job right away! I will be teaching 3rd-5th grade literacy in a small rural school in Vermont (my home state).

MY TEACHING STYLE

Being a new teacher I feel that I am still discovering my teaching style! What I do know is that I enjoy having my students do a lot of hands-on activities, giving many opportunities for students to talk to each other to share ideas, and for me not to be the only one talking!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Graduated with honors from the University of Vermont.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I grew up in South Burlington, Vermont and graduated high school in 2011. I went to college only 5 minutes away at the University of Vermont where I got my dual endorsement in both Special Education and Elementary Education. I plan to start taking classes towards my Master's Degree within the next year.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My hobbies include: snowmobiling, reading, watching movies, seeing live theatre, traveling, and crafting!
