I started my teaching career in a pre-k classroom. It was an interesting experience that I never want to repeat. I then taught Title 1 reading for 2 years. Finally a second grade classroom opened up and I kind of lucked into my dream job! This is my fourth year in my second grade classroom!
My teaching style is always changing! I am definitely not traditional. My room has a tent and a couch in it. My students spend very little time at their seats and they do a lot of group work. I am not a fan of worksheets so I love creating printables that are fun and interactive for kids.
Best Teacher Ever...given by my students!
I received my Bachelor's degree from Muskingum University in 2005. Then in 2010 I earned my Master's in the art of teaching from Marygrove.
An interesting thing about my job is that I teach on a team with my Mom. She has awesome ideas to share and we work very well together!
