I teach 6th grade Science and Social Studies and I am the Curriculum Coordinator for my grade level subjects.
I believe in creating and facilitating environments and experiences for students to succeed and learn in an authentic, curiosity-peaking way. Those interesting, real-life learning experiences allow students to be scientists, historians, authors, editors, mathematicians, musicians, artists, coders, etc. The list is endless because their imaginations are endless! Whatever they want to BE, I want to provide them opportunities to gain the skill set and the content knowledge to BE successfully.
Working on a plaque of some kind, but right now I'm just honored to do what I enjoy every day.
I graduated from Indiana University's School of Education through IUPUI.
I'm married and mom of two. I love all kinds of music, reading books that leave me changed, doing home improvement projects to make my home a special, beautiful place indoors and out for my family, and figuring out where to travel next so I can be inspired by others.
