All of the Incredibly Fun Visual Phonics activities and ready-to-use tools were developed within my K-2 Title 1 classroom working with students at risk in reading. I understand effective instructional practices which result in independent, successful readers and writers. My goal is to promote student excitement and engagement with varied and unique learning and practice activities that are hands-on, exploratory, quick-paced, flexible and multilevel. These strategies can supplement any classroom reading series and be put to immediate use. They are teacher-friendly and easy to implement to support RTI. Most importantly, they were guided by and align with current research.
I am an energetic, resourceful and innovative educator. I'm passionate about sharing my novel, memory-enhancing activities with young, high-energy learners.
I have had the truly rewarding experience of sharing my Incredibly Fun Visual Phonics strategies with teachers across the country through the presentation of over 150 professional development seminars.
