TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I was in the classroom for 5 years, teaching 8th-9th grade English and then K-4 Science Lab. (Prior to that, I substituted K-12, with long-term experiences in PK and 1st grade, and have tutored classmates since I was in junior high!) Currently, I am an Instructional Technology Specialist, which means I help teachers seamlessly incorporate technology into their lessons. I love being able to reach more students in this position since I am teaching their teachers! Teaching is my calling, and I'm so blessed to get to live what I love!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love teaching in a student-centered classroom where students can explore the concepts creatively and in a hands-on fashion. I encourage creativity, critical thinking, and technology integration.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

- "Teacher of Today" award - Presenter of various "technology in the classroom" workshops

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a BS in Early Childhood Education and an M.Ed in School Counseling.
