TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My name is Rebecca Dorsey. I am a middle grades science teacher (6th, 7th, and 8th) at Rex Mill Middle School. I earned my dual Bachelor of Science degree from the Unsinkable Albany State University in Middle Grades Education with a concentration in Science (4th-8th) and Special Education in Adaptive Curriculum. In addition, I received my Master’s degree in Special Education in General Education Curriculum with a gifted endorsement.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to intertwine teacher, high-tech and student-centered instruction throughout the curriculum in order to model and demonstrate academic expectations in an effort to empower students to execute similar functionalities.

I enjoy working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through their education. I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect and as a current educator, it is my obligation to empower every child and help him or her make a positive contribution to our world. I am really looking forward to helping my students understand the importance of science education in their future academic endeavors!
