As well, I tutored children in Reading Comprehension, Study Skills, Writing, and Literature for eleven years. I then went on to tutor students in a college setting. Whie raising my two children, I have been teaching online college courses in Writing for the past seven years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I enjoy being creative with my assignments. I think it is important to keep the student in mind when creating materials. I have had a lot of success in the classroom with the curriculum I have developed over the years. My students have appeared engaged in the work I provide to them.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I received two separate grants to develop curriculum. With one grant, I created six different thematic units for Literature. With the other grant, I worked on curriculum for creative writing.
