TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a teacher for 24 years. My background is in elementary education, special education and remedial methodology. I have had the privilege of being a learning assistance, reading recovery, and resource room teacher, as well as a remedial tutor, an Orton-Gillingham tutor, and an education consultant for Grades K-9. I currently work as a teacher for an online school, and engage in homeschooling with my children.

MY TEACHING STYLE

A key interest of mine is in the area of learning differences, and literacy development. I enjoy assisting students in mastering literacy skills and watching reading and writing flourish. I also enjoy creating unique resources for classroom teachers, tutors, and homeschooling parents.
