TEACHING EXPERIENCE

In January 2012 I began working in a Title 1 position with 42 at-risk students in grades 3-6. The following August, I began teaching 4th grade in the Iowa City School District. Currently I teach 1st grade in the College Community School District in Cedar Rapids, IA. I recently found I will get to teach 4th grade in a brand new elementary school in our district in the fall of 2014. I've had lots of changes in the first few years of my career, but I'm looking forward to teaching 4th grade for good :)!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to keep learning fresh, fun, and interactive for my students. I enjoy spending time creating new materials to try out in my classroom. I LOVE when my kids help teach and drive lessons. It's so rewarding when students realize that school can be fun!
