I have been teaching for over 20 years. I have been lucky enough to have worked in a variety of grades in elementary school. I was a reading specialist and RTI teacher. I spent a number of years teaching 4th and 5th graders. My true love is the primary grades and I am currently a Primary (1st-3rd grade) SDC teacher. I enjoy collaborating with the general education teachers and help create lessons for both classes. I hope you find my lessons educational and engaging!
I am hands-on teacher that loves incorporating project-style activities into my daily curriculum. I love an energetic and active classroom. I try to engage all types of learners with interesting and creative activities and centers so my students can explore while learning. I believe in small group instruction and design lessons for specific students or groups. I try to incorporate movement and activity in each lesson. I believe in teaching students to be creative and take responsibility of their learning and behavior.
I have a BA in Social Psychology and a MA in Special Education, a California multiple subject teaching credential as well as a single subject credential in Math and a mild to moderate special education credential.
