Master's Degree in Elementary Education from a top 5 graduate school for education; Peabody College at Vanderbilt University. Emphasis on using student-led inquiry, critical thinking, Bloom's taxonomy, and Gardner's Multiple Intelligences to guide instruction. I've attended the TCRWP's weeklong summer institute at Teacher's College for both the Reading and Writing sections and developed my own curriculum for balanced literacy that utilizes the Units of Study, Engage NY ELA, and skills and level-based reading groups (combo dependent upon school flexibility). I've also received training in Marzano's formative assessment and standards-based grading as well as Developmental Designs (Responsive Classroom's middle-age advisory program).
I keep my documents unfussy and "mature" for the tweens. Send requests my way- I have many documents I could upload.
