TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching 22 years. I have been a middle school teacher for 17 years. Love middle school kids! I teach English Language Arts, I am certified in Reading, Elementary Education, Social Studies and I have a Supervisory certification.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Fostering creativity and critical thinking in the classroom. Helping students to think beyond the classroom and see the big world that awaits them. I believe we need to prepare students for the world they will live in, not just the standardized tests.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I get a real "kick" out of making sales on TpT and consider each and every sale an honor. I've presented both reading and gifted conferences. The real awards and honors come from working with students and seeing them grow.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelor's So.Sc. (History) Master's El.Ed. Certified History Elementary Education Reading Specialist Reading Supervisor + Reading Recovery
