I teach on a flipped-classroom style. Students are assigned certain videos to watch prior to discussing the lesson as a pre-formal assessment. They must take notes of what they learned from the videos and be ready to discuss and ask questions relating to the concept the next class day. Class time is used to work on practice problems and assessments. Students sit in groups so they are able to help each other and discuss the concepts together in a smaller setting. Homework is only gven after the concept has been discussed in class and practiced in class with quick checks and exit tickets.
