TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught for 6 years in a middle school special education classroom. I have students in all ranges of ability and disability. I have taught math, science and life skills as well. Earlier in my career I taught first grade and loved it as well.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like structure, order and organization, and my teaching style tends to reflect that. While we still have fun, I prefer a quiet, low-key classroom which helps my students focus on learning. I incorporate some whole-brain teaching strategies as well as tried and true techniques that work for me and my students.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have received my 5 year service pin from my school district. I have also been awarded several grants each year.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended West Texas A & m University and graduated in 1988.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a single mother to three awesome kids who are now grown. I am addicted to researching new and better ways to teach my kids at school.
