TEACHING EXPERIENCE

For the past 13 years I have been teaching 4th and 5th grade. During that time I have achieved my Master's Degree and my National Board Professional Teaching certificate. I have taught in a multi-age 4th/5th grade classroom and student taught in 1st grade. I have coached softball for women's leagues, co-ed leagues and high school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is utilizing the students' interests as motivators to guide their academic success. All students in my classroom are active participates in every lesson as I act as the faciliator. I believe students should be continuously challeneged and engaged therefore, I differentiate every lesson for my students and create hands on projects that makes them use their critical thinking skills. I use Quantum Learning, which is a research-based educational methodology. It creates a positive student culture, promotes student engagement and inspires students to take responsibilty for their own learning.
