It has been my great pleasure to spend my entire career at Freeburg Elementary School in Freeburg, Illinois. I began at the pre-school in 1982, moved to the grade school in 1988 and have been there ever since. I've taught first, second, and third grade. I also teach in the Education Division at McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois and I teach Reading and Children's Literature at Southerwestern Illinois College in Belleville, Illinois.
I enjoy engaging, student centered lessons that allow me to learn right along with my students. I try to create a balanced literacy program and prefer student made projects to communicate learning rather than worksheets.

I am always eager to speak with groups about Living Kidney Donation or other Organ Donation. I donated a kidney to my husband in 2001 and my son recently donated a kidney in November 2011.
