TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Home school teacher of just over six years now and I absolutely love the challenge and blessing of it. I've been a math and science tutor for all ages as young as preschool up through college for a number of years on multiple occasions. I've also tutored and assisted students in reaching their goals to towards high school graduation or obtaining their GED.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Because of my background in homeschooling and tutoring, I prefer one on one time or small groups with a lot of "open discussion" about topics with material to reinforce thoughts and ideas. I'm always open and looking for creative fun styles and projects to keep the process of learning entertaining and engaging.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My honors are the achievements of those around me. I truly take the most joy from helping others obtain their goals.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I had aspired at one time to be a high school chemistry teacher, after having an amazing chemistry teacher myself. That dream was put on hold to raise my children, and eventually led to the decision to home school. I home schooled a gifted child through high school and home school "wonderfully challenging" child in the 6th grade.
