TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been an elementary teacher for 16 years. I have taught 3rd grade, 5th grade, and currently teach Title I Reading and Technology (grades 3-6). I am also a site teacher for our 21st Century After School Program and serve as the technology coordinator of our school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe learning should be an enjoyable experience rather than a forced task. I always try to make my lessons come alive with technology, songs, drama, or an engaging activity when possible, because I want my students to LOVE learning. I think students absorb and retain information so much more if they have fun during the process. I believe that I am called to be a teacher and love it just as much today as I did the day I began this journey.
