I have been teaching Japanese for more than 30 years! I have a number of teaching kits professionally published and have presented at the State Japanese Teacher's Conference on numerous occasions.
I aim to make learning Japanese FUN so include many songs, games and activities. I am keenly interested in Brain Research and how this can be applied to language learning. I actively use an IWB and other technologies such as iPads.
Life Member of the Japanese Association of Victoria, Australia. Australian College of Educator's Award for contribution to the teaching of Languages Other Than English.
My love for Japan and the Japanese people began when I was an exchange student at the age of 16. It was a life-changing experience and one for which I am most grateful!
Whilst this year I am teaching from Kindergarten to Year 6 at the Primary level, in the past I have taught up to Year 12.
