I have taught General Music for 18 years at the middle school level. For the last 12 years, I have taught with a piano lab. I also teach Middle School Chorus.
I prefer to teach with students in an active, highly engaged class. I usually start by reviewing a concept, extending learning on that concept (usually with a quick activity) to reinforce the content. I then proceed to a piece of music to apply the concept. Next, I either review the content taught or use a variety of assessments to ensure all students have mastered the content to the best of their abilities.

I have created over 20 board games, some of which are music related. These have never been published. I am currently writing a 200 page classroom piano book which I hope to sell to a publisher or on TPT. (It should be totally revised by the summer.) If you have a question you can ask in TPT or at my business email address: email@example.com Note: Responses may to a few days to a week.
