I am a seasoned Social Studies teacher who has taught a wide variety of subjects including American History, Global Studies, Character Education, Current Social Problems, Sociology, Holocaust and Other Genocides, as well as extensive experience in study skills and test prep. I have also created and run a wide variety of staff development workshops for my department. I have worked in several different types of classrooms including gifted, inclusion, and self contained special education.
My varied teaching experience has helped me to develop a creative student centered approach which utalizes a wide variety of learning styles which encourages student confidence and mastery.

I have an undergraduate degree from St. Joseph's College in Patchogue, New York with a degree in History. I also have a masters degree in education from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York.
I am a New York State certified Social Studies teacher and mother with a passion for history and education. My favorite part of teaching is creating and sharing materials and I look forward to becoming a part of this new community.
