I have been a teacher for 27 years (how can it be that many years??), and I am just as passionate and committed as my first year. I have taught every grade from Pre-K to 5th grade as well as Gifted and ESOL. I have taught in both public school and private school. I am currently teaching third grade.
My priority is to tap into every student's love for learning! They all have their own learning styles, and I strive to know them well in order to create an individualized curriculum to best meet their needs. I want my students to LOVE learning as much as I still do!
Teacher of the Year; My most recent (and maybe my best) honor was being acknowledged this year by a previous student in second grade who was our high school's valedictorian this year. He included me in his speech to share how I influenced him in writing which he is going to pursue at Yale University. Wow!!
I graduated from Florida State University with a degress in elementary education. I have completed all of my course work in school psychology for my master's degree and just need to do my internship. Also, I am certified in the following areas: Gifted, ESOL, Elementary Education, and Special Education.
I am the very proud mom of two sons. My oldest son is in college, and my youngest son just graduated from high school.
