TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 8.5 years of teaching experience, all in self-contained classrooms for students who have autism. My experience in 4 years k-1, 1 year of high school and 3.5 years of middle school. Working on a grant with the University of NC-Charlotte, the school system I worked for utilized adapted novels with great success. I was hired to adapt "To Kill a Mockingbird" for the school system and it is used in most high school self-contained classrooms. Currently have 5 titles available for sale including "A Christmas Carol", "Huck Finn", Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County, To Build A Fire and Romeo and Juliet.

Single father of a 16yr old young lady who lives with me in Indian Land, SC and a 18yr old young man who has autism and lives with his Mom in W. Jefferson, NC. Currently teaching Specialized Behavioral Disability elementary school self-contained class.
