TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught high school History while pursuing my first degree in college, followed by 2 years teaching Math and Language Arts to students with mild intellectual/behavioral disabilities. I am currently giving private instruction to students in one-on-one or small group settings.

MY TEACHING STYLE

With older students, a large part of my lessons consist of class discussion in order to promote dialogue and independent thinking from the students. With students that are young or have difficulty learning, I use more direct step by step instruction as well as repetition in order to make sure that students understand every aspect of the lesson covered, as well as provide reinforcement of those understandings and develop memory skills through repetition.
