TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught for one year at a small rural school in Nebraska. There I taught 1st, 4th, and 5th grade. I then moved to a different school were I taught Kindergarten for four years and I now teach 5th and 6th grade in a combined classroom.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is a little eclectic. There are times when I like to be at the center of what my kids are doing and times when I like to be the guiding bystander.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

In 2010 I received a scholarship from the Nebraska Retired Teachers Association. The scholarship was only given to one teacher in the state, so I was very honored to be the recipient.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood. I also recently completed my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I live in a small town in Nebraska with my husband and our two dogs, Henry and Howdy :)
