TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught public education for 11 years specializing in social studies. During that time period, I have spent time in both Middle School and High School. I also was a technology instructional coach for my current school during an iPad 1:1 implementation. Currently, I teach AP Human Geography and also direct a GEAR UP grant.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe teaching should be active and relevant. The curriculum I create and implement attempts to first connect abstract concepts with concrete examples. Then, I provide opportunities to practice, discuss, and dissect the examples as it connects with the concepts.
