I have been teaching some level of Physical Education for 39 years. I have taught all levels from Pre-K activities through High School and taught a variety of activity and PE major courses and ED major courses at two different Universities.
My Physical Education classes are a student-centered program designed to meet the unique physical needs of all students. My elementary P.E. classes include basic instructional skill development activities in the areas of basic movement, fitness, dance, games, and sports. My classes also emphasize good healthy practices, emphasize the importance of good healthy habits, and integrate academics in some activities. My classes also integrate various holiday and special event activities throughout the year. As a teacher I want my students to learn lifetime skills and habits as well as have fun through fitness and activity.
