I have been teaching English for eighteen years. I have taught at Catholic schools and am currently teaching in a public junior high.
I am a firm believer in the student being the hardest worker in the room. Having said that, I also want my students to be interested in the learning process as well as the subject; therefore, students in my classroom work independently or in partners, in small groups or in Socratic Seminars.
Yet to be added
I have an undergraduate degree in English/professional writing with alternate certification in secondary English education. I also have a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership, in which I also became a certified Teacher Leader.
I grew up in NJ and moved to LA when I was fourteen and have been in the Deep South ever since. I am happily married with four children, a dog, and a cat. Weekly coffee with the bestie makes me happy and ready for a new week.
