I started teaching as a Special Education Teacher in a Full Inclusion Setting. Basically, I followed my students around to the regular education class. I worked with teachers to modify their lessons and tests to fit the needs of the students I served. I also had time to pull these students in small groups. After 4 years of doing this I moved to another state and taught third grade in a regular education setting. I have taught for 13 years. I have also completed my Master's Degree and certification in Reading and Literacy. I hope that budgets will be allowed to hire Reading Specialists again, and then move into that discipline.
having a strong amount of experience with lower income students and special education students a majority of my teaching style is hands on. I do lots of group work and work that involves many multiple intelligences.

I graduated Bethany College with a Elementary Education degree with a minor in Special Education. I received my Masters Degree from Walden University in Reading and Literacy
