TEACHING EXPERIENCE

After receiving my BFA and MAE from DAAP at the University of Cincinnati, I began teaching elementary art. I've been teaching in the Fort Thomas Independent School District since 2009, and am excited to share my resources with other teachers. I'm always trying something new, or revising and refining lessons and resource materials. I also actively collaborate with different grade levels, strongly believing in the benefits of cross-curricular and interdisciplinary units.

MY TEACHING STYLE

In an art classroom, students have the opportunity to build confidence in trying out their own ideas! I desire to have my students think like artists, and actively solve artistic problems. It is my hope that I create a space where they can create meaningful artworks with personal connections, built on a foundation of a variety of art skills.
