Confession: I'm not a teacher. I'm a mom who couldn't find what she was looking for and made her own. I was very pleased with the outcome and decided to share it here for anyone else who may find it useful.
Every one of the products in this store were created for my own children. Seeing how they leaped at them makes me believe that others would find these tools useful. There are 3 goals: #1 - Portability. Most language worksheets are large and take up space. I was looking for something that could slip into an un-used wipes case or an empty DVD case. #2 - Reusability. Personally, I printed, trimmed, and laminated the aids and then used dry-erase markers in various colors to complete the tasks. In addition to using the same cards multiple times, I also tried to make them useful in multiple ways so they could be used as their skills improved. #3 - Engagement. Activities were targeted to be simple enough to grasp the concept from the start but complex enough to keep them interested time after time.
While I have not received any formal honors or awards. The kids actually ASK for the games I've created. Sometimes even in lieu of electronics, or television, or other flashy toys. Frankly, that's honor enough.
BS in Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University and Masters of Science in Project Management from George Washington University.
I'm learning Russian too and I find the games fun too. :)
