This is my 9th year teaching and working with elementary students. I spent my early career in first grade, then moved up to 4th grade, have been a Math Instructional Coach, and now I am a Math and Science Curriculum Specialist for PK-6th grades. I love my job, getting to now work with teachers to help them shape the faces of tomorrow!
I believe I have a very innovative approach to teaching. I love to create lessons and activities that are cross-curricular, making connections for students. I believe fun, engaging, challenging, real-world content is one of the best ways for students to learn. I love to have fun while teaching or working, and give 100% each and every day!
I was nominated as Teacher of the Year at my previous campus for 4 years.
I attended Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I then attended Concordia University of Austin and attained a Master of Education Degree in Educational Administration. I went on to obtain a certification as principal. Each new challenge that I accept in my professional role, I hope will grow me into a better educator all around.
I love spending time with my husband and our two children. They are my biggest inspiration!
