Experience
I've taught Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades. I was also a reading specialist in a K-4 elementary school and am currently a Literacy Coach in that same K-4 Elementary school.
Teaching style
I believe that every child needs an education that is differentiated to meet the needs of that particular student. This means assessing to find instructional levels so that students can read books that are "just right" for them. I also believe that students learn more effectively when they are interested and engaged in the learning, so finding ways to "hook" learners will help students be involved in their own learning.
