I am a thirteen year teaching veteran. I have taught middle school science and upper elementary. I am currently the Literacy Teaching and Learning Facilitator (coach) for my school district.
In teaching science I used a balanced approach. We would do a little bit of experiments, a little bit of writing, reading, along with many hands on activities. In my elementary classroom we use the workshop method for everything! I love my guided math, reading and writing groups!
Yet to be added
I have an Elementary degree in Education, with an emphasis on science, math, and social studies (this allows me to teach these subjects in the middle school). I have a Masters in Education in Teacher Leadership from Walden University.
Life is busy. On top of my 9 to 5 job teaching, I am a wife and mother to a 6 year old and 4 year old.
