I have been teaching since I graduated from college and stumbled across the profession by moving across the world to China. Quickly, I realized that the rush I felt from exposing someone to a new idea was a life long passion. Since then, I have taught 2nd grade, 4th grade, all levels of middle school and high school.
Interactive!!! I want my students to loathe leaving my class, not loathe coming. While I find topics I enjoy revisiting every year, my lessons, projects and simulations change every year as I encounter new students and new ways of teaching.
National Boards Certified ELA/LA. Teacher of the year 2008 & 2012.
Bachelors in communication/history from EWU. Masters in Education from Whitworth University.
I love creating and sharing. I've recently opened an ETSY store to share my knitting and crafting and Pinterest might just be my second home. The ideas available at our fingertips and the connections that can be made instantly across continents is so fantastic to me. My desire to share material on TpT is to build up the teaching community and to pursue my desire to become a stay at home mom/part time teacher. Thanks for visiting!
