Students take this bird hunt printout outside to determine how many of each bird they see on the yard. They are able to tally the number of each bird as well as write the final number they saw. They will write which bird they saw the most of and
With this activity ALL students will be included in determining which animals belong in which habitat. I used this activity with my students to introduce our unit on Habitats and Communities in Grade 4.
I laminated these and took plastic balls (found at Walmart) and wrote sight words on the balls. Students had to sort the balls into buckets depending on which letters the word started with. A fun hands on activity!
