I have been a high school teacher in rural Wisconsin since 2008. Initially, I taught pre algebra, algebra, and algebra II. Two years later, I started teaching physics and AP physics. I also taught an hour of a 5th grade exploratory class for two years. Last year I taught algebra, physics, and AP Physics. This upcoming school year I will be revisiting pre algebra again too! I
In my math classes, I recently starting teaching College Preparatory Mathematics (CPM), and I love the guided inquiry style of it. It makes me modify how I teach all of my classes. Since I am half science teacher/half math teacher, I do a number of labs and work towards making them more guided or open inquiry than not.

I graduated from a small town high school in Wisconsin in 2003. From there, I attended University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for mathematics education as well as physics.
I'm a mom of two, a 5 year old and a 1 year old. They are the source of a lot of my inspiration. When they aren't inspiring me, my students are. They make me a better person every day. I love being outside with my family and especially love to be in state parks or my garden.
