I am licensed to teach PreK - 6 grade with a degree in Psychology and Elementary Education. I also have recently completed my Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy. I have taught two years of second grade, one of fifth grade, six years of first grade, and now Kindergarten. I have loved each of these grades, but more than anything, I love to teach reading!
I love to get my kids up and moving. We do a lot of dancing and singing. We do a lot of engaging activities and projects to get their minds thinking! It is a very student-centered, hands on approach to learning!
Instructional Leader Leibster Award
I have a BS in Psychology and Elementary Education from Bridgewater College in Virginia. I also have a Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy from Capella University.
I am a wife and a mother to a loving family. I have three very enthusiastic boys. During all of my "spare time," what I enjoy most is a good book! Feel free to follow my blog for more great ideas! http://hangingoutinfirst.blogspot.com/
