For the last three years, I have been working as the 9th grade English educator in Wisconsin. During my tenure, I have successfully implemented curriculum for regular and block hour classes covering topics such as grammar, vocabulary, argumentative writing, and critical analysis of prose and poetry. As well as teaching and developing 9th grade curriculum, I have nurtured a sub-specialty in dealing with difficult and special needs students and routinely mentor and teach lower-level classes.
Patient, enthusiastic, and self-driven educator with a commitment to student development, refined curriculum, and professional growth. Dedicated to the formation and development of meaningful student-teacher bonds and mentorships. Active community member who effectively collaborates with peers, staff, and students from a variety of cultures and backgrounds.

Studied English and Math Education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Outside of my professional and occupational experiences, I offer genuine enthusiasm, unrestricted creativity, and a high level of cultural experience and diversity. I have visited 15 states and, as a woman married to a British man, have spent close to 8 months overseas in England and Wales. I often draw on my travels in the classroom and feel my exposure to different cultures, languages, and educational systems allows me to better cater to the varied and rapidly changing makeup of Wisconsin student bodies and districts.
