I recently moved to the elementary education world. I have been teaching in the intermediate school for the past 6 years. I have taught almost every core subject, but my most recent focus has been in Math.
I have done a lot of work with cooperative learning in my classes. I believe that students learn better during group work, than individual practice, provided it is cooperative and efficient. Students see improved motivation. It is very powerful learning, for a student to identify someone else's error and be able to teach them to correct it.
Bachelor's Degree - Summa Cum Laude
I have a bachelor's degree in education from Lakeland College in Sheboygan, WI. I graduated Summa Cum Laude. My degree covers grades 1-9 with a minor in science. I also have a master's degree in educational technology from Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI. I have enjoyed building all types of technology into my daily instruction!
These days I am busier than ever. I just welcomed my second child and switched teaching positions in the same year. I am creating all sorts of resources for my new position and am looking forward to sharing them with all of you. Please leave me honest feedback about what you liked and what you would like to see. :o)
