TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught 5th grade, 4th grade, 2nd grade and 1st grade in Georgia. I have really enjoyed each of the grade levels, as they have all allowed me to grow as a teacher. I am currently teaching first grade and loving every minute!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I want to encourage a love of life-long learning in my students. I try to do this by using relevant, real-world problems and projects in the classroom. I enjoy using both whole group and small group instruction, so that I can meet each student at his or her current level and help them grow from there. I want for all of my students to have fun in the classroom and feel love and respected each day!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Nominated for Teacher of the Year by my administration and colleagues (2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2016-2017) Voted "Best Teacher" of Forsyth (local newspaper)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education - Master's Degree in Elementary Education

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I currently live in Georgia with my wonderful husband and our hilarious bulldog, Lola. In my free time I love to read, paint, watch movies, and develop/search for new ideas to use in the classroom. I hope that I can create something that is not only useful for me and my students, but for you and your students as well!
