TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am beginning my 4th year as a teacher! This is the first year that I have felt fully confident in my abilities and talents as a teacher and finally have the time to create cute things for my classroom. I have always taught 4th Grade Math/Science, but I also tutor other subjects and grade levels after school and during summer break.

MY TEACHING STYLE

The more hands-on and personal, the better! Ever since my first year of teaching, I knew that I wanted to master small-group instruction. In a Title 1 school, all my students want and need that daily personal attention that can be met in small groups. After my 3rd year of teaching, I feel like I have finally figured out how to teach the rigorous standards for the Texas STAAR test effectively in the small group setting.
